Customer service reps have told me (3 times), that the date they use to determine processing times is Notice Date, not Receipt Date, because ND is the date they have on file.

How about getting a degree for some value-add? Something that can advance your career like it's designed to? You're getting an advanced degree for all the wrong reasons. And yes, I'd love to see your labor approved with a Masters from University of Phoenix Online. This is depressing.

Getting greencards in Eb1 so multinational manager category, fradulent eb2 category, and EB3 to EB2 porting is going to be damn difficult due to awareness spread by the affected people and involvement of politicans in this issues.

My PD is June 06, 2003 EB-3 and have a very good job offer. Started the job search before the recent visa bulletin. I am debating between "a very good job offer" vs "dates moving forward by 5 days for my PD to be current". I wish I had a magic wand which would show me the next 3 month's visa bulletin dates :D

Hi All,
First of all I would like to thank everybody on this forum for helping out with the Visitor Visa information.
As you might know from my previous threads my Parents visa was rejected twice from Mumbai Consulate in 2004 and 2005. My Parents and I were totally depressed and were having a tough time trying to figure out what is going wrong. After failing twice we were very worried about applying for third time but then we all thought of it as sheer gamble and luck and decided to apply.
I was the sponsorer for the trip and my father is retired and landlord. We wrote his occupation in DS-156 as retired and landlord.
This time we let my mother give the interview as my father keeps forgetting things due to age.
No documents were seen at all. The interview was in Hindi. They asked all basic questions to my mom
1) Why do you want to go?
For Toursim and to visit daughter and son-in-law
2) How long do you want to stay - 2 months
3) What does your daughter do - XXX in AAA company
4) What does your son-in-law do -- YYYY in BBB company
Thats is the visa was granted and we could not believe it. As it took us 5 years of suffering to get it. But keep hopes up and keep trying.

whether they accept July applications or not. You should really look out for yourself and see what actions provide you the best odds i.e. whether there is a benefit in applying in July for the small possibility that USCIS will accept July applications.
Some lawyers (specially ones hired by bigger companies) are lazy and are discouraging filing in July. The companies also don't want to risk any unnecessary money on lawyers as the applications will most likely get rejected. They are making the best decision for themselves. For us the best decision might be to push our companies/lawyers to file in July as it still might (slight possibility) help us in the end.
This is insane. There are posts on immigrationportal that some ppl are getting approved even after July 12, those with PD 2005. To hell with this BS.
No objection to the lucky ppl who got it, but for sake of shutting this insanity I will file a lawsuit, if they process any application filed from July 2nd.
PS : I'vent filed my case yet. I dont believe in the popular opinion to file and wait for the lawsuit. I'm not against the lawsuit as it covers (it must) non filers, I'm going to wait. As per my attorney and myself, I will abide by USCIS statement to reject all applications recieved from 2nd July. Because if they retract and come up with yet another VB for July, this time they will be in for not a pleasant surprise.

Is there anyone that has experience with amendment of I-140? like in our case, change a pending EB2 to Eb3?
One lawyer told us we could not change a pending application, we will have to file a new application for Eb3. But I heard people taking about I-140 amendment, so what is that?
